Maine Womens Business Empowerment ProgramThe Maine Women’s Business Owners Empowerment Program is a new program to help women business owners better manage the financial challenges of their businesses. The program focuses on building the knowledge and skills needed for successful financial management, from the perspective of women in business. Our goal is to help you build your financial knowledge and skill set, resulting in increased confidence in your ability to deal more effectively with the many financial issues that arise in your business. For only $100, you can enjoy the following benefits of the Maine Women’s Business Empowerment Program: * Free enrollment in all Empowerment Program workshops that you and your WBC counselor determine are beneficial to you; no limit on the number of workshops over twelve months; * A full-listing in www.wbcmaine.org – (regularly a $50.00 value which includes a half-price discount on all other workshops offered by the WBC); * Free participation in online networking meetings held exclusively for Empowerment Program participants. To participate in this program you must be 1)a woman who is at least a 50% owner of a Maine business; 2) In business for at least six months, either full or part-time; and 3) Committed to the success of your business.

Maine Women Business Owners Online Directory-Renewal or UpgradeThe Maine Women Business Owners Online Directory is designed to connect you with women business owners across the state of Maine and help you: find new vendors; find new customers; and access educational workshops, networking events, and free business counseling focused on the issues facing women-owned businesses throughout the state. There are two listing levels available: Basic (free) listing which includes business listing and contact information in one business catagory; inclusion in database searchable by catagory, keyword or location and notification of all upcoming events and trainings; and Premium ($50.00) which includes the above benefits as well as inclusion in the Featured Listing Session on the front page of the website; ability to add a logo/photo and full business description to listing; inclusion in all applicable catagories; and a 50% discounted fee for all workshops/training events offered by CEI. Virtual Website Marketing Incubator ProgramAn online training & consulting program conducted jointly by the WBC at CEI and Business Development Services at CEI that includes a series of five two-hour workshop sessions on advanced web marketing tools and strategies, and personalized search engine optimization using professional level tools. Participants will receive a comprehensive Search Engine Optimization/Keyword Analysis Report, website analysis of copy and design, and a customized website marketing plan that considers their budget, time, and long and short-term goals. Program requirements: A one-hour initial consultation to determine the fit of this program for you and your company; prior participation in both Planning Your Website Success and Marketing & Promoting Your Website workshops; availability of website statistics and the installation of Google Analytics; the ability to make content changes to your website (or to have them made); participation in follow-up for one year. Online training sessions will take place from 10:00am to 12:00pm each Thursday beginning on April 30th, 2009 and ending on May 28th, 2009. Program is limited to 15 participants; cost is $495 per participant.
